Pakistan and Vietnam Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations at FII Conference


Riyadh: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh of Vietnam on the sidelines of the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of trade and investment. Both leaders expressed a shared interest in boosting economic cooperation between their countries.



According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s eagerness to strengthen ties with Vietnam, citing significant potential for increased trade and investment collaboration. He suggested that both nations exchange trade and business delegations to explore these opportunities further. The leaders also discussed the importance of enhancing people-to-people contacts and promoting tourism. Additionally, Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged Vietnam’s role in the ASEAN region and sought support for Pakistan’s ambition to become a full dialogue partner of ASEAN. An official invitation was extended to the Vietnamese Prime Minister to visit Pakistan.
