Islamabad: Pakistan and Uzbekistan have reaffirmed their commitment to accelerating tech-driven economic growth in the region. This was underscored during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima, and the Uzbek Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev.
The meeting, held in Islamabad, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the technology sector. Minister Fatima emphasized Pakistan’s strong cybersecurity capabilities, highlighting the potential for collaboration between the two nations.
Ambassador Tukhtaev expressed the importance of ministerial exchanges and proposed the establishment of a Joint Working Group on IT and Telecom. He also stressed the need for an agreement on New Emerging Technologies to further solidify the partnership.
The discussions reflect a shared vision for leveraging technology to foster economic development in the region. Both countries aim to explore new avenues of cooperation to enhance their technological landscapes.
