Islamabad: Pakistan is eager to enhance its economic relations with Uzbekistan, focusing on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, exports, and tourism. This was expressed during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Sher Takhtayev, and Haroon Akhtar Khan, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Industries and Production.
According to Radio Pakistan, Khan emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to expanding bilateral economic engagement with Uzbekistan. He expressed the intention to transform the longstanding relations between the two countries into robust trade, investment, and commercial partnerships. The dialogue underscored the mutual interest in exploring opportunities for growth in various sectors.
The Uzbek delegation extended an invitation to a Pakistani delegation to visit Uzbekistan. The visit aims to facilitate meetings with governors of different Uzbek provinces to explore opportunities for enhanced trade, investment, and business-to-business cooperation. This initiative is part of the broader strategy to deepen economic ties and explore untapped potential in both countries.
