ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the robust and cooperative relationship between Pakistan and the United States during a ceremony celebrating the 250th Independence Anniversary of the United States. The Prime Minister noted that the partnership spans several key areas such as security, counterterrorism, trade, investment, agriculture, science, education, health, energy, and people-to-people exchanges.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted that the foundation of Pakistan-US relations has grown over decades, now encompassing not only security cooperation but also expanding into trade, innovation, and human connectivity. He acknowledged the role of President Trump in fostering peace and stability in South Asia, contributing to reduced regional tensions.

Additionally, the Prime Minister mentioned Pakistan’s role as a mediator between the United States and Iran, expressing gratitude for the trust both nations have placed in Pakistan. Earlier in the event, Natalie A. Baker, Chargé d’Affaires, underscored President Trump’s personal engagement with Pakistani leadership as a testament to the strong bonds at the highest levels of both governments.
