Islamabad: Pakistan is poised to enhance its educational and economic landscape through a new partnership between the University of Lahore and the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, as announced by Syedaal Khan Nasar, Acting Chairman Senate. Nasar emphasized the potential of Pakistan’s youth, who make up nearly 60 percent of the country’s population, as key drivers of future development and stability.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Nasar made these remarks while addressing the launch ceremony of the Transnational Education Partnership at a local hotel in Islamabad. He congratulated both universities on this collaboration, highlighting its significance in strengthening educational ties and providing Pakistani students with access to world-class education and international exposure.

Nasar underscored the importance of equipping young people with modern skills, particularly in fields such as computing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, which are crucial for Pakistan’s economic and social development. He expressed hope that this partnership would extend beyond degree programs to include research, innovation, and faculty collaboration.

Welcoming representatives from the University of Plymouth, Nasar noted that education could further solidify the long-standing friendly ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
