Abu Dhabi: In a move to enhance agricultural collaboration, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Second Pakistan International Date Palm Festival 2025. The festival is scheduled to take place in Pakistan later this year.
The signing ceremony was held during the Grand Ceremony of the 17th Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation at the Emirates Palace. Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain and Dr. Abdelouahhab Zaid, General Secretary of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, formalized the agreement.
Rana Tanveer Hussain expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s leadership in sustainable agriculture and international partnerships. He highlighted the strong bilateral relations between the two nations, particularly in agricultural research and innovation.
The festival aims to promote the date palm industry, showcasing advancements and fostering collaboration between stakeholders from both countries.
