Jammu: An Indian Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldier, Didhar Singh, passed away from a cardiac arrest while traveling through Udhampur district in the Jammu and Kashmir region. The incident occurred as Singh was on a bus journey from Pathankot to Srinagar.
Reports from Kashmir Media Service indicate that Singh, a resident of Pathankot in Punjab, lost consciousness near Dramthal, close to Prem Mandir on the Jammu-Udhampur Highway. Despite being quickly transported to a hospital in Chenani, medical authorities pronounced him dead on arrival.
In response to the incident, Indian police have acknowledged the occurrence and have started an inquiry to ascertain the circumstances leading to Singh’s death.
