Pakistan and U.S. to Advance Strategic Health Dialogue

Islamabad, – Pakistan and the United States have agreed to advance their strategic health dialogue, focusing on jointly identified priority areas. This agreement was reached during a meeting in Islamabad between a delegation from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control Atlanta, led by Dr. Richard Franka, and Pakistan’s Minister for Health, Dr. Nadeem Jan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reports that the meeting covered mutual areas of interest for health sector cooperation. Minister Jan emphasized the national leadership’s commitment to containing all vaccine-preventable diseases. Dr. Franka, representing the Global Immunization Division, lauded the Pakistani government’s dedication and the exceptional support provided to frontline health workers by the country’s law enforcement agencies.
