ANKARA: Pakistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration in the railway sector as part of a delegation-level meeting held between Pakistan’s Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, and Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the discussions in Ankara, Minister Abbasi emphasized Pakistan’s intention to leverage Türkiye’s experience, investment, and advanced technology to modernize its railway infrastructure. Both countries expressed mutual interest in restoring the Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul freight train service and transforming it into a sustainable commercial trade corridor, underscoring their dedication to improving regional connectivity and trade.
