MANILA: Pakistan and Russia have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including trade, energy, and connectivity. This commitment was articulated in a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Manila, prior to the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussion between the two leaders focused on reviewing and advancing Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations. Both officials emphasized the importance of continued high-level engagement to further develop the partnership between the two countries.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on significant regional and international developments. Dar and Lavrov agreed to maintain close contact to coordinate efforts on these fronts, underscoring the importance of collaboration at multilateral forums.
