Islamabad: Pakistan and France have reiterated their commitment to diplomacy and dialogue as essential tools for addressing emerging security challenges and promoting peace. This consensus was reached during the Pakistan-France Joint Security Commission convened in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting facilitated high-level discussions on security and defense cooperation. Both nations expressed their intent to strengthen and implement collaborative efforts as outlined in the Pakistan-France Roadmap for Bilateral Cooperation 2023. The delegations committed to continuing bilateral dialogue and engagement.
Discussions also covered regional security developments, with both sides agreeing to enhance cooperation in countering terrorism and tackling security threats such as drug trafficking, piracy, and other forms of transnational organized crime.
