Pakistan and Egypt Hold 10th Round of Annual Bilateral Consultations Virtually


ISLAMABAD: The 10th Round of the Annual Bilateral Consultations (ABC) between Pakistan and Egypt was convened virtually on 21 July 2026, where senior officials from both nations’ foreign ministries participated in discussions to review and enhance bilateral relations. This meeting was led by Mr. Zahid Hussain, Additional Secretary (Middle East) for Pakistan, and Ambassador Amr Hamza, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs of Egypt.



According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the consultations offered both countries an opportunity to examine the progress in bilateral cooperation and explore avenues for strengthening ties in various sectors such as trade, investment, education, culture, and information technology. The discussions highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the leadership of Pakistan and Egypt on regional and international matters, which has been a key factor in the development of their partnership.



The delegations expressed their commitment to fostering greater people-to-people exchanges and maintaining the momentum of high-level engagements. They also reaffirmed their support for each other at multilateral fora, including the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Looking ahead, both parties agreed to continue regular engagement, with the next round of consultations scheduled to take place in Cairo at a mutually agreed time.
