Pakistan and Belarus Celebrate Three Decades of Diplomatic Ties

Islamabad, Today marks a significant milestone in international relations as Pakistan and Belarus celebrate thirty years since the establishment of their diplomatic relations. This anniversary is commemorated with an exchange of messages between the Foreign Ministers of the two nations, reflecting on the progress and depth of their bilateral ties.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his Belarusian counterpart, Sergei Aleinik, shared messages of felicitation, underscoring the enduring partnership between their countries. Jilani, in particular, highlighted the positive development of these relations over the past three decades and affirmed Pakistan’s dedication to further enhancing this mutually beneficial cooperation.

The celebration also saw the respective ambassadors in Islamabad and Minsk engaging directly with the Foreign Ministers to convey congratulatory messages, symbolizing the strong diplomatic channels that have been established over the years. The bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Belarus is founded on mutual respect, trust, and constructive dialogue, as evidenced by the Islamabad Declaration of Pakistan-Belarus Partnership and the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation signed in 2015.

Over the years, the partnership has seen significant growth, characterized by frequent high-level exchanges and collaboration across various sectors, including economy, industry, and agriculture. A notable achievement in their diplomatic journey is the conclusion of a Visa Abolishment Agreement for Diplomatic and Official Passport holders, facilitating easier travel and fostering closer ties between the two nations.
