ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to establish a Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. The agreement was formalized with the signing of a protocol recording the Minutes of the 3rd Session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Bahrain’s Foreign Minister.
According to Radio Pakistan, the signing ceremony took place in Islamabad, where both nations underscored their commitment to cooperation in multiple sectors, including trade and investment, agriculture and food security, oil, gas and minerals, maritime affairs, information technology and telecommunications, health, education, and labor. The establishment of the Joint Working Group at the government level is intended to serve as an institutional mechanism for regular consultations, coordination, and cooperation on matters of bilateral trade and investment.
