Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab conducted the second session of the E-Kachehri, offering a direct channel for citizens to report municipal issues. The initiative, aimed at enhancing the resolution process, allowed residents to voice concerns about sanitation, road repairs, water supply, and sewerage by contacting the Water Corporation helpline.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the E-Kachehri was operational from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, during which Mayor Wahab personally reviewed complaints and instructed relevant departments to take immediate action. He emphasized that issues which could be resolved on the spot should be addressed without delay, and other urgent matters should be tackled within 24 hours. The Mayor highlighted that delays in providing relief would not be tolerated and urged officers to prioritize complaint resolution.
The E-Kachehri aims to facilitate direct interaction between citizens and municipal leadership. Mayor Wahab noted the importance of keeping citizens informed about progress on their complaints, signifying a commitment to transparency and effective grievance redressal.
