Islamabad , Pakistan and Azerbaijan have committed to bolstering their economic cooperation, with a particular focus on the energy sector. This agreement was reached during a meeting in Islamabad between Pakistan’s Caretaker Federal Minister for Energy Ali Muhammad and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Ali Muhammad highlighted the significance of the energy partnership between the two countries. He pointed out that Pakistan had recently procured liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Azerbaijan for December, indicating the growing energy ties between the two nations.
The Minister also commended Azerbaijan’s participation at COP 28, particularly noting their pavilion at the event. Ambassador Farhadov expressed Azerbaijan’s strong commitment to deepening the economic collaboration between the two countries, building on their already strong fraternal relationship.
This meeting marks a significant step in enhancing the economic relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, with energy cooperation identified as a key area of focus. Such collaboration aligns with Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to meet its energy needs and diversify its energy sources.
