ISLAMABAD: A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between StarCharge Energy Pakistan and Bahum Global Limited to bolster Pakistan’s electric vehicle ecosystem through international collaboration, local manufacturing, and technology transfer. The signing ceremony, held in Islamabad, was attended by Haroon Akhtar Khan, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Industries and Production.
According to Radio Pakistan, Haroon Akhtar Khan emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming the country’s transportation sector by promoting electric mobility. He highlighted the forthcoming Battery Energy Storage System Policy as a significant step toward an electric vehicle revolution in Pakistan. The policy aims to encourage local manufacturing, attract foreign investment, and establish a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
Khan also mentioned the government’s efforts to facilitate the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure nationwide. This initiative is intended to make electric mobility more accessible and convenient for consumers, further supporting the transition to electric vehicles in Pakistan.
