PAGD demands restoration of Article 370 in IIOJK

Srinagar, December 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) has urged the Indian government to introspect, review and roll back the decision of abrogation of Article 370 like the three controversial farm laws were rolled back recently.

According to Kashmir Media Service, senior member of the PAGD, Muzaffar Ahmad Shah talking to media in Srinagar said that they had to meet opposition parties, civil society members and Indian government to ask them to review the decisions of August 05, 2019, which were taken unconstitutionally and without taking the people of Kashmir onboard.

He said that like the Indian government revoked the three farms laws, which were passed by the parliament last year, abrogation of Article 370 should be reviewed and rolled back. Muzaffar Ahmad Shah said that they were planning to meet the civil society members, opposition parties and other political leaders in New Delhi to apprise them of the importance of rolling back of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

He also said that PAGD spokesperson, Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami has already filed a writ petition against the abrogation of Article 370 in the Indian Supreme Court and they would continue to follow it in the court and fight the legal battle for its revocation.

“Like the government revoked three farms laws, it should also do the same in case of Article 370 so as to restore confidence of the people of Kashmir in New Delhi. The decisions made on August 05, 2019 were made unconstitutionally and without taking the people of Kashmir into confidence, so it is important for New Delhi to review, introspect and roll back the decision of abrogation of article 370,” he added. He said, they are stationed in New Delhi and will meet every person to apprise them of the importance of rolling back of abrogation of Article 370.
