Owaisi Criticizes AAP for Discriminatory Garbage Disposal in Muslim Areas of Delhi

New Delhi: Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), has criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for allegedly dumping garbage in Muslim-majority areas of New Delhi while neglecting their development needs.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Owaisi, in a media interview, described both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as sharing a common ideological ancestry in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He accused AAP of making unfulfilled promises of progress, noting the lack of schools and clinics in these areas.

“In Delhi’s Muslim-majority assembly constituencies, garbage is being dumped. No clinics or schools have been built, and there has been zero development,” Owaisi stated. He characterized AAP’s assertions of establishing educational and health facilities as “drama.”

Owaisi further criticized AAP and the BJP for their shared ideological roots, noting that both parties have connections to the RSS. He referred to RSS as the progenitor of BJP and likened AAP to a “Hindutva experiment.” The AIMIM leader also announced plans for his party to contest elections in Delhi, positioning itself as a challenger to both AAP and BJP.

In his remarks, Owaisi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the perceived double standards of the BJP and its affiliates, citing the example of a sacred offering sent to the Ajmer Dargah. He pointed out the contradiction between such actions and legal assertions against the Dargah’s status.
