Islamabad: In a notable operation by the Kohsar Police Station team of the Islamabad Police, a key member of a gang involved in numerous robbery incidents was apprehended. This operation led to the recovery of eight stolen mobile phones, collectively valued at millions of rupees, which had been forcibly taken from citizens at gunpoint.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrested individual confessed during the initial investigation to participating in several street crime incidents across different areas of the federal capital. The accused already has multiple criminal cases registered against him. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend his accomplices as the investigation continues.
Under the directives of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, a concerted crackdown on individuals involved in various forms of robbery and street crime is underway throughout the federal capital. This initiative has resulted in a noticeable decrease in serious crime, attributed to the arrest of criminal elements and effective policing strategies.
Qazi Ali Raza instructed police officers to intensify their actions against criminals depriving citizens of their possessions, ensuring habitual offenders face justice. He emphasized the importance of taking necessary measures to protect citizens’ lives and property. Additionally, he urged the public to cooperate with the Islamabad Police by reporting any suspicious activities or individuals through the “Pucar-15” Emergency Helpline for prompt legal action.
