New Delhi: Chief Minister of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) Omar Abdullah has stated that the security situation in the region remains precarious, contradicting claims of normalcy by Indian authorities.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Abdullah made these comments during the Red Mike Dialogues in New Delhi. He emphasized that the security environment in the disputed territory is far from normal, despite the passage of more than five years since the abrogation of Article 370.
Abdullah asserted that the normalcy touted by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Delhi is not genuine but rather imposed. “If what is happening in IIOJK is organic, nothing like it. If it is driven out of fear, then you have a problem,” he remarked.
