No peace in South Asia without Kashmir solution: JKML

Srinagar, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League has welcomed the recent statement of the Pakistan Army Chief Syed Asim Munir, in which he stressed the Kashmir solution through the United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the dream of peace in South Asia cannot be realized without settling the Kashmir dispute according to the resolutions of the World Body. He said the people of IIOJK have sacrificed lakhs of lives and suffered losses worth trillions of rupees for the sacred cause and would continue their struggle till complete success.

The spokesman said that great sacrifices like desecration of mothers and sisters and arrests and detentions of lakhs of youths had been made only for freedom from Indian occupation. He added that the Kashmiri people would continue their struggle for the right to self-determination, guaranteed to them in the United Nations resolutions. He also expressed hope that Pakistan would continue to support Kashmiris politically, diplomatically and morally.

Meanwhile, APHC leader Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement in Srinagar paid tribute to prominent political and religious leader, Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Shah on his death anniversary. He said that Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Yusuf Shah was a history-making personality who dedicated his everything for the freedom movement of Kashmir.
