Quetta: The Balochistan Provincial Assembly conducted elections for the chairmanship of three significant standing committees, focusing on a broad range of civic and social responsibilities.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meetings resulted in the election of new chairmen for critical panels. Syed Zafar Ali Agha was elected as the chairman of the Standing Council for the Department of Social Welfare, Women Development, Zakat, Usher, Hajj and Awqaf, Minority Affairs, and Juvenile Affairs.
Additionally, Mir Ghulam Dastgir Badini secured the chairmanship in another key assembly meeting. These elections are part of the assembly’s ongoing efforts to strengthen legislative oversight and enhance inter-provincial liaison, law, parliamentary affairs, prosecution, and human rights within the region.
