NDMA Issues Monsoon 2024 Daily Situation Report to Key Departments and Authorities


Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has disseminated its 19th Daily Situation Report for Monsoon 2024, encompassing developments and directives spanning from 1300 hours on July 18 to 1300 hours on July 19, 2024. The comprehensive report has been sent to a wide array of federal ministries, departments, and provincial governments, among others, for informed decision-making and necessary actions concerning the ongoing monsoon season.



According to National Disaster Management Authority, the report targets vital sectors including Interior, Planning, Food Security & Research, National Health Services, and others, emphasizing enhanced preparedness and coordinated response to monsoon impacts. Recipients of this crucial information include Director Generals of Provincial Disaster Management Authorities, various development authorities, and heads of national security and infrastructure bodies.



The NDMA’s communication extends to several high-level officials such as the Chairman of the National Highway Authority, Inspector General of National Highways & Motorway Police, and the Chairmen of both the Pakistan Telecommunications and Federal Flood Commissions. Additionally, the report has been shared with strategic military positions, including the Joint Crises Management Cell and the Military Operations Directorate, to ensure a unified response mechanism across all levels of governance and security.



The circulation of this report underscores the NDMA’s role in orchestrating a comprehensive national response to mitigate the adverse effects of monsoon weather, ensuring that all relevant parties are updated and prepared to handle any arising situations effectively.
