Rahim Yar Khan: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC), conducted an extensive Industrial Disaster Response Mock Drill and Simulation Exercise at FFC Goth Machhi on Tuesday. The operation aimed to evaluate and enhance preparedness, coordination, and response mechanisms for potential industrial emergencies.
According to Radio Pakistan, the exercise served as a practical platform to test emergency response procedures and inter-agency coordination, assessing the operational readiness of relevant departments. The simulation also emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between district, provincial, and industrial authorities to ensure an effective and timely response to emergencies.
Participants in the exercise included representatives from the District Disaster Management Authority, Health Department, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, Police, Industries Department, Government of Punjab, NDMA, and local industry, alongside relevant FFC emergency response teams.
