Karachi, In a significant display of Pakistan’s naval strength, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Naval Chief, conducted an extensive review of the country’s operational preparedness and combat readiness across various naval units. The visit encompassed Creeks and Coastal Areas, as well as Pakistan Navy Ships, highlighting the Navy’s readiness to respond to any potential threats.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Admiral Ashraf’s visit began at the Creeks Brigade in Sujawal, where he received a detailed briefing on the current threat environment and the defensive strategies in place for the Creeks Area. His interactions with officers and men at forward posts were marked by an appreciation of their readiness and commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s maritime interests.
The visit also included a stop at PNS AKRAM in Gwadar, where Admiral Ashraf met with troops responsible for the security of Gwadar Port, a critical asset in the country’s maritime infrastructure. Additionally, his tour covered the Jinnah Naval Base, the Pakistan Navy Hospital Dar Maanjah, and the Cadet College in Ormara, underscoring the diverse operational spectrum of the Pakistan Navy.
The final leg of Admiral Ashraf’s tour brought him to the Pakistan Navy Ships at the PN Dockyard in Karachi. Here, he reviewed the operational preparedness and combat readiness of the surface ships, crucial elements of Pakistan’s naval defense strategy.
During his interactions throughout the visit, Admiral Ashraf expressed satisfaction with the operational readiness of the deployed units. He praised the professional skills and dedication of the officers and men, especially in the challenging and harsh environments of the Creeks and Coastal Areas. The Naval Chief also acknowledged the significance of their role amidst the evolving regional challenges in the maritime domain.
