National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence Production meets

Islamabad, October 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):The National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence Production unanimously recommended that the number plates of all vehicles in the country be made uniform and National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) should manufacture all these number plates.

 

The 14th meeting was held today at 1:00 p.m. in the Committee Room of NRTC, T and T Complex, Haripur under the Chairmanship of Chaudhry Iftekhar Nazir, MNA. The Managing Director, NRTC, briefed the Committee that NRTC’s vision is to provide the value-added systems, solutions and services achieving six sigma qualities in the processes for customers worldwide.

 

He apprised that NRTC is a leading organization in the industry promoting telecommunication / IT equipment in Pakistan. NRTC is committed to sustainability and continues to support the Armed forces, Public and Private Sectors including various international clients. Further, the strategy and policies of the Corporation underline the unique contribution of the products/services in facing the security and technological challenges in the country.

 

He informed that NRTC is providing world-class telecommunications equipment to the customers that meets all their operational needs in a timely and affordable manner. NRTC goal is to provide the right business growth services at the appropriate time so companies can benefit from the created momentum and thrive for a long period of time, he added.

 

He also informed that NRTC has indigenously made drones that would be used to spray insecticides and pesticides on fields in the country. He further informed that they are manufacturing number plates of vehicles that have six types of security features that cannot be duplicated. Further, NRTC participated and exhibited applications, inventions, solutions, and technologies developed in post-COVID-19 scenario.

 

The Committee unanimously recommended that the number plates of all vehicles in the country be made uniform and NRTC should manufacture all these number plates. Later, the Committee visited the various departments of NRTC where the Managing Director also briefed regarding different Commercial Products of the Corporation.

 

The meeting was attended by Prince Muhammad Nawaz Allai, Mr. Saif Ur Rehman, Ms. Shandana Gulzar Khan, Ms. Sajida Begum, Mr. Salahuddin, Mr. Gul Zafar Khan, Syed Abrar Ali Shah, Mr. Irfan Ali Leghari, and Mr. Muhammad Anwar, MNAs besides senior officers from Ministry of Defence Production and NRTC.
