Islamabad: The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan celebrated the completion of the National Faculty Development Program (NFDP) Cohort-IX for Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) Fellows at the HEC Secretariat. The event marked the end of a three-week professional development initiative designed to elevate the skills of new PhD graduates.

According to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the closing ceremony was attended by the Chairman of HEC, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, who presented certificates to the program participants. In his address, he congratulated the fellows and encouraged them to maintain professionalism and integrity in their academic pursuits. He highlighted the critical need for Pakistan’s higher education institutions to have faculty members who are not only competent but also ethically driven and capable of inspiring students.

Dr. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of NAHE, also addressed the attendees, urging the fellows to apply the skills and methodologies learned during the program in their future teaching practices. She emphasized NAHE’s commitment to preparing future educators to meet the evolving challenges of higher education.

The ceremony concluded with Dr. Muneer Ahmed, Director of NAHE, administering a professional oath to the fellows, emphasizing their dedication to academic integrity and continuous learning in their careers.
