ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police conducted an awareness seminar on women’s personal safety at the Islamabad Model School for Girls, focusing on educating students and teachers about safety measures and emergency protocols. The event featured talks from senior police officials and aimed to bolster cooperation between the community and law enforcement.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, Superintendent of Police (SP) City Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain, along with SHO Women Police Station Misbah Shahbaz and SHO Industrial Area Police Station Ishtiaq Shah, addressed the seminar. The officials discussed strategies for personal safety, recognizing suspicious activities, and the necessity of reporting incidents to authorities promptly.

Dr. Ayaz Hussain emphasized the priority of women’s security, advising students to remain alert and communicate any concerns to the police. He highlighted the importance of calmness and informed decision-making in emergencies, encouraging regular communication with parents and authorities.

Misbah Shahbaz shared insights into challenges faced by women, police contact procedures, and available support services. Her experiences as the first female SHO in Islamabad underscored the police department’s dedication to promoting women’s roles and excellence in policing.

The seminar aimed to enhance awareness and confidence among female students regarding personal safety. Attendees praised the initiative as informative, recognizing Islamabad Police’s ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and foster community relations.
