Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, extended his congratulations to the newly elected leaders of the Video Journalists Association in light of the recent elections. He specifically acknowledged Kashif Abbasi on his election as President, noting the significance of the role in addressing and advocating for the professional concerns and rights of video journalists.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the Speaker also congratulated other elected office-bearers, including Rizwan Rao as General Secretary, Khurram Roshan as Finance Secretary, and Anees-ur-Rehman and Zulqarnain Rao as Vice Presidents. Additionally, Mehboob-ur-Rehman was recognized as Joint Secretary, along with Wajid (VOA), Khakan Ahmed, Atiq, Faheem Raja, and Muhammad Sajjad as members of the Association’s Governing Body.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the critical responsibilities video journalists hold in the journalism field, highlighting their role in delivering timely information to the public. He expressed optimism that the new leadership would foster cooperation within the journalist community while effectively addressing professional issues.
