Lahore, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment, has vehemently criticized the Indian government, labeling it as the world’s most racist and apartheid state. Her strong remarks came against the backdrop of India’s Republic Day celebrations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mushaal, who is also the wife of jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, expressed her disapproval of the RSS-led Indian government’s actions. She accused the Indian government of celebrating the abrogation of its constitution, targeting minorities, and undermining democratic values. She described the RSS-inspired government as fascist, engaging in state terrorism and brutalities to suppress dissenting voices.
Mushaal emphasized that these measures could not weaken the resolve of the Kashmiri people, who are determined to continue their struggle for self-determination. She criticized India’s claim of being a republic while illegally occupying Jammu and Kashmir, which she referred to as a “world’s largest tortured cell.” The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister highlighted the plight of the Kashmiri leadership, including Yasin Malik, who she claimed were jailed on fabricated charges to silence their voices.
Lamenting the international community’s inaction, Mushaal expressed her disgust at the ongoing atrocities and legal rights violations in Kashmir, yet India is still referred to as the largest democracy. She called India a fascist and apartheid state, where minorities, including Kashmiri Muslims, face inhuman and barbaric acts.
Despite these challenges, Mushaal vowed that the Kashmiri people would persist in their struggle for freedom. She called on world powers to address the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, warning of a looming humanitarian crisis. She also referenced the inauguration of the Lord Ram idol at the site of the demolished Babri Masjid by Indian PM Narendra Modi as a symbol of divisive policies.
Mushaal concluded by anticipating that India would face disintegration due to these divisive policies promoted by the RSS.
