Musadik Malik Initiates Framework Development for Animal Welfare


Islamabad: The Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Musadik Malik, has initiated the development of a comprehensive framework aimed at improving animal welfare across the country. During the inaugural meeting of the Committee on Cruelty to Animals, Malik emphasized the need for data collection and legal reviews to address existing gaps in animal welfare legislation.



According to Radio Pakistan, Malik instructed the committee to gather relevant data from all provinces and to conduct a thorough review of current laws regarding animal welfare. The objective is to identify deficiencies and propose necessary amendments. Furthermore, Malik underscored the importance of involving activists and experts in the field to incorporate their insights and recommendations into future policy planning.
