Pakistan Emphasizes Multilateralism and Peaceful Settlement of Disputes at Paris Conference


PARIS: Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to multilateralism, international law, and the peaceful settlement of disputes, as articulated by its Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, during a keynote address at a conference hosted by the Rotary Club in Paris.



According to Radio Pakistan, the conference, themed “Pakistan in a Changing World,” saw Ambassador Baloch presenting a detailed overview of Pakistan’s strategic role in the evolving international landscape. She emphasized Pakistan’s geostrategic importance at the intersection of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, highlighting its dedication to dialogue and diplomacy amid global challenges such as terrorism, climate change, and economic instability.



Ambassador Baloch also discussed Pakistan’s proactive involvement in crisis de-escalation efforts and United Nations Peacekeeping missions. She reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to mediate in the ongoing Middle East situation and its commitment to contributing to global peace and dialogue.



Furthermore, the Ambassador touched upon Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, its youthful population, and its economic development trajectory. She noted the country’s reform initiatives and the promising opportunities they present for trade and investment with France and the European community.



The event was attended by members of the Rotary Club of Paris along with notable figures from the diplomatic, business, and civic sectors of the French capital.
