Murad asks opposition parties to participate in legislation to strengthen parliament

Islamabad, November 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Communications Murad Saeed has asked the opposition parties to participate in legislation to strengthen the parliament and democracy. Speaking in the National Assembly on Tuesday on a point of order of PML (N) Leader Mian Javed Latif, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan has waged a long and historic political struggle for democracy. The Minister strongly criticized the PML (N) for targeting the institutions including the judiciary. He said the PML (N) leadership should give the money trail of the properties they accumulated abroad.

The Minister for Communications said that Panama Papers were not brought to the fore by the country’s judiciary, institutions or the PTI but it is an international scandal of corruption and money laundering, which also disclosed the offshore assets of Nawaz Sharif and his family.

Special Assistant on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan said during their eras, both the PML (N) and the PPP failed to serve the masses. He said we will have to fully follow democratic norms to take the country forward. The house will now meet on Friday at 11am.
