ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his congratulations to the nation following Moody’s decision to upgrade Pakistan’s sovereign credit rating from Caa1 to B3. The Prime Minister highlighted that this development signifies increasing global confidence in the country’s economic policies and reforms.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif welcomed the credit rating upgrade and commended the efforts of the government’s economic team. He specifically acknowledged Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, as well as other ministers and officials involved in this achievement.

The Prime Minister noted that the improvement in Pakistan’s credit rating reflects a growing trust from international financial institutions and rating agencies in the country’s economic condition. He emphasized that the government’s initiatives to stabilize the economy and enhance the external sector have been effective, contributing to this positive outlook.

Prime Minister Sharif reiterated the government’s commitment to accelerating reforms aimed at building a strong, self-reliant, and sustainable economy for Pakistan.
