Misbah Khar Highlights Collective Efforts at IFWA Charity Event


ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Chairman Senate and Ambassador to ISC, Misbah Khar, emphasized the impact of collaborative initiatives in bringing about lasting change during her address at the “Taste the World Charity Event 2026” organized by the Islamabad Foreign Women’s Association (IFWA). The annual event was held in partnership with diplomatic missions, partner organizations, and the Islamabad Serena Hotel.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Ms. Khar, serving as the chief guest, highlighted the role of food as a universal language of diplomacy and commended IFWA’s leadership and stakeholders for their commitment to humanitarian causes. She praised the event for fostering cultural exchange and serving as a platform for collective goodwill, particularly in supporting underprivileged women, children, and vulnerable segments of society.



Ms. Khar recognized IFWA’s contributions since its founding in 1995, noting its efforts in resource mobilization and strengthening ties between Pakistan and the international community. She also underscored Pakistan’s national initiatives like the Benazir Income Support Programme, which benefit from complementary efforts such as “Taste the World.”



In her concluding remarks, Ms. Khar expressed her hopes for the continued success of the event, which aims to celebrate global diversity and raise funds for projects focused on women’s empowerment, education, and social welfare.
