Mirwaiz Mourns Loss of Prominent Kashmiri Leader Haji Hussain Shah

Srinagar, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has expressed profound grief over the passing of Alhaaj Muhammad Hussain Shah, a distinguished member of the Kashmiri community and a foundational figure of the Awami Action Committee, located in Hawal.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz, in a heartfelt statement from Srinagar, described Shah’s death as a significant personal loss, honoring his lifelong contributions and dedication to the Awami Action Committee. Shah, remembered for his close friendship with Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, played a pivotal role in reinforcing the organization’s foundation and objectives.

Mirwaiz highlighted Shah’s invaluable relationship with both him and his family. Known widely in the community not just for his business acumen but also for his profound understanding and longtime involvement with Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, Shah’s passing is felt deeply by many, including Mirwaiz himself.

The funeral prayers, led by Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, Imam of Jama Masjid, Srinagar, saw a significant gathering, including a high-level delegation from the Awami Action Committee and numerous members of the community, reflecting the wide respect and admiration Shah commanded across Kashmir.
