Islamabad: Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, conducted a review of the Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) in Islamabad, showcasing its first-year achievements in facilitating business and investment activities. The review revealed substantial progress, including over Rs. 6.6 billion in investment facilitated and more than 20,000 jobs supported within the past year.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Sheikh emphasized the significance of the BFC as a centralized hub for businesses and investors, offering streamlined services under one roof. From August 2025 to August 2026, the BFC processed a significant number of applications, issuing 6,896 licenses, registrations, and permits, and providing expert guidance in 845 cases. During this period, 4,100 new businesses were supported, contributing to the overall economic growth.
Minister Sheikh reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the Ease of Doing Business, aiming to simplify procedures and reduce bureaucratic obstacles for local and foreign investors. The Board of Investment is actively working on regulatory reforms to enhance business facilitation and create a more conducive environment for investment in Pakistan.
The visit included interactions with officers and staff at various ministry desks within the BFC, where Minister Sheikh distributed Certificates of Appreciation for their contributions to the Centre’s success. A cake-cutting ceremony marked the one-year milestone, celebrating the BFC’s achievements and reaffirming the government’s dedication to advancing business facilitation efforts in the future.
