Islamabad: Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized the importance of robust security and infrastructure development, particularly the prioritization of inter-provincial highways and motorways in strategically important areas such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during a meeting with G.G. Jamal, a senior leader of the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Khan underscored the necessity of eradicating terrorism and addressing anti-state activities to foster the country’s progress and prosperity. He reiterated the significance of the ‘Azam-e-Istehkam’ Operation as a patriotic duty to enhance national security, which is integral for attracting investments and supporting development.
Furthermore, the Minister highlighted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s critical role as a gateway to China, Afghanistan, and Central Asia, explaining that the government’s focus on improving transportation infrastructure in these areas is crucial for economic integration and regional connectivity.
