ISLAMABAD: A delegation participating in the Mid-Career Management Course visited the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Complex in Islamabad, where they received an in-depth briefing on modern policing and counter-terrorism strategies.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the delegation was joined by senior officials including DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, and SSP CTD Saud Khan. The visit aimed to educate the delegation on the requirements of contemporary policing and the role of technology in crime prevention.
During the briefing, officers highlighted the Safe City Project and the modern Command and Control System, detailing how Safe City cameras, data analytics, and intelligence-based operations contribute to early crime identification and prevention. The professional capabilities of the CTD and its integrated security strategies were also discussed.
The delegation toured various operational units and technology-equipped facilities, receiving insights into modern surveillance, emergency response, and inter-agency coordination. Officers emphasized the importance of training and capacity building to align policing practices with current trends.
