Islamabad: The Met Office has announced an impending weather shift, forecasting rain, wind, and thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms and snowfall over high mountains. A strong westerly wave is expected to impact the western and upper parts of the country.
The forecast indicates widespread rain, wind, and thunderstorms, including some heavy falls, in the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. These areas may also experience snow over the mountainous regions.
In several districts including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad, similar weather patterns are anticipated. These areas could also see heavy falls and occasional hailstorms.
Residents of Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala can expect rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with the possibility of hailstorms affecting the regions.
The Met Office’s predictions, as reported by Pakistan Television, underscore the need for residents in the affected areas to prepare for potential disruptions due to adverse weather conditions.
