Srinagar, October 21, 2022 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief, Mehbooba Mufti, has slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Indian government for setting the rapists and conmen free and stopping others from international travel. She was referring the release of 11 Hindutva goons convicted in the rape of Muslim woman, Bilkis Bano, and killing of her 7 family members during the 2002 anti-Muslim riots in the Indian state of Gujarat and stopping of the Kashmiri photojournalist Sanna Mattoo from going to the US to collect her Pulitzer Award.
Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet, today, said not allowing people like Kashmiri journalists Sanna Mattoo and Aakash Hassan, Amnesty International head in India, Aakar Patel, and Indian journalist, Rana Ayub, to go abroad and freeing rapists and conmen shows BJPs mind-set and points towards their concept of a ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
