Karachi Deputy Mayor Inspects Blood Donation Camp, Emphasizes Humanitarian Service


KARACHI: Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad inspected a blood donation camp organized by the Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed B.B Blood Bank Pakistan. The event took place at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Building, where Pakistan Peoples Party workers and KMC employees participated in the blood donation drive. According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the camp was held in cooperation with the Chairman Labour Committee, KMC, and certificates of appreciation were awarded to Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad by Shaheed B.B Blood Bank Pakistan and Hussaini Blood Bank.



Deputy Mayor Murad highlighted the significance of blood donation as a vital humanitarian service, stating that blood from healthy individuals offers hope to patients in need. He emphasized the collective responsibility of society to assist patients requiring blood due to accidents, surgeries, or medical conditions such as thalassemia. Murad noted that the safe transfusion of blood could save lives and encouraged healthy individuals to donate blood regularly.



During the event, Murad commended the Pakistan Peoples Party workers and KMC employees for their voluntary donations, describing the act as promoting compassion, empathy, and mutual cooperation. He stressed the importance of spreading the message “Donate Blood, Share Life” to ensure the availability of blood for patients in need. Participants at the camp were also educated on blood donation and informed about the eligibility criteria for donors.
