ISLAMABAD: Margalla Police have successfully traced a high-profile theft case at the residence of the Nawab of Bahawalpur family, leading to the arrest of six individuals allegedly involved in the incident and the recovery of approximately 70 to 80 percent of the stolen property.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the Margalla Police utilized modern technology, Safe City cameras, and human intelligence to track down the suspects. The investigation is ongoing to recover the remaining stolen property and apprehend any additional suspects involved.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the police are conducting indiscriminate action against criminal elements to safeguard citizens’ valuable assets. He assured that the arrested individuals would face justice as per legal procedures. Efforts continue to recover the outstanding stolen items and apprehend any remaining culprits.
Joint operations between Islamabad and Rawalpindi Police are also underway, directed by IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, to combat criminal activities and enhance law and order. These operations involve thorough checking and surveillance at key locations, with police units patrolling major roads and verifying identities and documents.
The Islamabad Police have called upon citizens to cooperate during these checks and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to aid in maintaining public safety. The police remain committed to ensuring the security of the federal capital through effective policing and community collaboration.
