Maoists Claim Responsibility for Killing Two Police Informers in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, In a violent manifestation of the ongoing conflict in Chhattisgarh, the Maoist Peoples Liberation Guerrilla Army has announced their responsibility for the deaths of two individuals accused of being police informers in the BJP-governed state. The killings underscore the volatile security situation in the region, which continues to be disrupted by Maoist insurgency.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the victims, identified as Sodi Hunga and Madhvi Nanda from Duled village in the Sukma district adjacent to the Odisha border, were found deceased outside their village on Friday morning. The Maoist group accused the pair of collaborating with Indian police forces, a charge that led to their execution.

The Maoist Peoples Liberation Guerrilla Army has also directed blame towards the BJP government in Chhattisgarh for the deaths, suggesting a political dimension to the violence. This incident is part of a larger pattern of increased aggression in the area, highlighted by the recent killing of a Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) company commander in the Bijapur area on February 18.

The ongoing violence in Chhattisgarh reflects the deep-rooted issues facing the state, including the Maoist insurgency that has plagued the region for decades. These developments pose significant challenges to peace, security, and governance in the area.
