Lahore: Engr. Altaf Hussain Malik, the Managing Director of the National Grid Company of Pakistan, recently visited the 500 kV Grid Station Gatti in Faisalabad, one of the country’s oldest high-voltage grid stations. The visit focused on inspecting the station’s operations and assessing ongoing maintenance efforts.
According to National Transmission and Despatch Company, Malik was joined by key company officials, including Deputy Managing Director Engr. Rasheed A. Bhutto and GM Asset Management Engr. Anees Ahmed. During the visit, Malik received a comprehensive briefing on the grid station’s operational status. He instructed the Asset Management team to enhance condition-based monitoring of the station’s aging assets and ensure timely maintenance and replacements.
Malik also reviewed the progress of warehouse pavement work at the site, urging the team to expedite its completion. He acknowledged the team’s work and reiterated NGC’s dedication to maintaining a robust and reliable transmission system through proactive asset management.
