Malaysia Supports Pakistani Initiative to Host US-Iran Dialogue Amid Middle East Tensions


ISLAMABAD: Malaysia has endorsed Pakistan’s proposal to mediate a dialogue between the United States and Iran, aimed at addressing the ongoing Middle East conflict. Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, announced his support for the initiative, emphasizing its potential to pave the way for significant negotiations.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Malaysian Prime Minister expressed his views on the social media platform X, highlighting the urgency of the situation. Anwar Ibrahim noted that the mediation offer from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif comes at a pivotal time and could contribute to creating an environment conducive to meaningful dialogue between the conflicting parties.



Anwar Ibrahim further encouraged both the United States and Iran to engage with the proposal constructively, acknowledging the spirit in which it was extended. The support from Malaysia underscores the importance of international cooperation in resolving the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
