Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining a consistent supply of fertilizers across Pakistan. Chairing a Fertilizer Review Committee meeting in Islamabad, he assured stakeholders of the sector’s stability and its capacity to meet the agricultural demands of the country.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Tanveer Hussain stated that Pakistan’s fertilizer sector is well-managed, with sufficient stock buffers and strong production capabilities. He also emphasized effective coordination among stakeholders, which is expected to ensure a smooth supply of fertilizers during both the Rabi and Kharif growing seasons, preventing any potential shortages.
The minister highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting farmers by implementing proactive policies and ensuring the availability of essential agricultural inputs, which are vital for strengthening Pakistan’s agricultural economy.
