Macky Sall Meets Pakistani Prime Minister Amid United Nations Secretary-General Race


Islamabad: In a significant diplomatic engagement, H.E. Mr. Macky Sall, a candidate for the United Nations Secretary-General position, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House. During the meeting, Mr. Sall received assurances of Pakistan’s continued commitment to multilateralism and support for the United Nations’ pivotal role in global affairs.



According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif welcomed Mr. Sall and emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to the United Nations’ core objectives, including peace and security, development, and human rights. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the future UN leadership would uphold these pillars effectively. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the UN Charter’s purposes and principles and stressed the importance of implementing Security Council resolutions and respecting international law for global stability.
