Islamabad: In a meeting directed by Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar chaired discussions today on the legal framework for Danish University. The meeting included the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other senior officials.
Minister Tarar highlighted that Danish University will operate autonomously, separate from government control. The university’s legal structure aims to meet international standards, focusing on creating a modern educational environment.
An endowment fund was also proposed to support talented students with financial constraints, aiming to provide quality education. Successful global educational models are being examined to enhance the university’s competitiveness.
The university’s focus will be on research, development, and applied sciences. Participants agreed on developing a comprehensive legal framework to foster an ideal academic setting. The Minister assured that all legal and administrative considerations will be addressed promptly to implement the initiative swiftly.
